The Importance of Pre-Screening
For best practice it is important that when a booking for an appointment is taken and when the booking is confirmed (either via text or phone), that the following questions are answered before the client arrives to your premises:
- Are they feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
- Do they, or has someone they have had contact with, have a confirmed case of COVID-19?
- Are they, or is someone they have had contact with, currently undergoing testing for COVID-19 and awaiting test results?
- Have they recently returned from overseas?
If they answer “yes” to any of these questions they should be instructed to stay at home and not enter your premises and delay the treatment for at least 14 days.
It is also important to check in with staff during this time with questions 1 - 3.
